Troy Riggs began his career as a police recruit, quickly rising through to the ranks. He has served as a police chief in two jurisdictions and as a Director of Safety in two of America’s largest cities.
He is recognized as a national leader in data-led government, media relations, community engagement, and crisis management. In his 30 years of public safety, he has testified before Congress, discussed crime issues with two US Presidents, provided security oversight for major events, including the Kentucky Derby, Indianapolis 500, and the Ryder Cup. He has also successfully navigated numerous critical incidents. As a result of his dedicated work, he has received numerous awards. Those include the NAACP President’s Award, League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Community Leader Award, and he is the recipient of the highest award given by his first employer, the Jefferson Cup.
As a person of faith, he has lead church services, served as a Deacon, and taught Bible Study for years. Additionally, he also speaks on a variety of topics and offers consulting and training to government, businesses and non-profits based on a Biblical foundation.
